The Institute of Musical Instrument Technology accreditation scheme was set up so that members of the musical public could locate accredited musical instrument technicians working in their locality. With the backing of the IMIT they can be assured that the relevant technician works to the high standards demanded by the Institute.

The notes are spread further apart than the violin because it is generally larger and has thicker strings it produces a deeper sound than the Violin
